Jetlagged post #1

I got back to Cambridge yesterday afternoon, and still majorly adjusting to the time difference and how different my life is here. It is actually 4:15 am, and I just woke up because my body doesn't know where the hell I am. I tried to be pro-active and get on a good schedule by going to sleep at the right time, but apparently my body thinks that was just a nap.

But anyway, sleepless nights are great for things like updating blogs. Sorry I haven't posted in a while, but it is good to know that people noticed (Thanks, Babydoll).

So, this was my break: Fly into Philadelphia, picked up by mom and lou, take a day off to finish up some grant applications with impending deadlines, go to work substitute teaching at my old high school, spend a weekend in NYC with Newmie and Pearlman, get really sick and spend a week in bed, more subbing, take a break during the high school's spring break, EASTER, more subbing, mom's wedding shower, lou and mom take me back to Philly Int'l, I leave. I meet nice married couple on the airplane.

This synopsis doesn't include sufficient info about some of the best things about my break:

Drinking in the hot tub with Jean and Alex everynight. Two of my mom's oldest friends, now women I consider to be among my dearest friends too. These nightly rituals are priceless.

Planning my mom's surprise shower. My mom has many wonderful friends, and we made a great team.

Weekend in NYC with Newmie and Pearlman. We had fun. God, it was good to see them both again, especially Newmie. It had been too long.

I probably could keep writing, but I feel myself getting very very tired. I'm gonna go with that.
