I got a job!

Yay!

I feel like a new person today. I cleaned my room and got dressed. I feel excited and optimistic, and that I have something to look forward to. I start my new job when I come back from England, in early October.

Ps. I am doing research for the Legal Services of NJ and their Poverty Research Institute. I will be doing interviews for the following projects: "The welfare and workforce development study will be interviewing clients about their experiences receiving benefits and services in New Jersey from welfare and One Stop offices. The harm and hardships study will interview New Jersey residents with lower incomes about experiences meeting basic needs while living in a high cost of living state."

the winter of my discontent

My family held a huge garage sale this weekend, held both on Saturday and Sunday. We got rid of a ton of stuff and made some good money too. Now that that is over I have absolutely no idea what I am doing... I am unemployed and have absolutely no purpose in life. Should I bother getting out of bed tomorrow?

Oh yeah...

I am leaving tomorrow for a vacation in Kennebunkport with my grandparents. My grandfather decided a few weeks ago that he wants Maine lobster one last time, so I am going to help him find the king of all lobsters. We are also going to go whale watching and to look at George (no W) Bush's house.

Oh, and my advisor wants to see my dissertation published! How exciting!

Today is also my mom's birthday (in addition to Lourdes') so last night after I got home from Lourdes' party I blew up a ton of balloons for my mom to find when she woke up. Then I went to bed and slept until noon. What a nice lazy day.
